All of the Hawaiian islands are literally the tops of mountains protruding from the sea floor. These have formed over eons by hot magma oozing upward and spilling out as molten lava. This means that most of our shore line is rocky and the beaches are limited small pockets of sand.

Lucky for you, Blue Horizons is at the center of the best beaches in Maui! There are 8 beaches to the north and 7 beaches to the south and all are within 7 miles of our bed & breakfast. Each beach has its own personality and unique appeal. Some are secluded. Some are adjacent to 5 star hotels. Some are very small. Others are larger. But, no matter what the beach has to offer, all of Maui's beaches belong to the people so you are always welcome!

Things to remember about your beach excursion:

• Hotels are required to provide clearly marked public access trails and an amount of free beach parking for non-guests.
• Locate, read and heed all beach condition signs.
• Look for blue & white Beach Access signs for information on public access, parking and restrooms.
• Wear plenty of sunscreen!
